Welcome to my blog! This is my twelve time baking for my genius hour project, and my last. I think it went pretty sweet;) My goal was to bake Macadamia Nut Cookies. This process took about one hour. It took longer because I was doing it myself. Their were different ingredients I had to mix. I had to use 3 different bowls to separate the ingredients for the different parts. Lots of mixing involved and getting messy. Everything turned out great. It just took time to prepare the cookies before baking. I baked the cookies for 10 minutes, then cooled. Not many people have tried these kind of cookies before, but I like these kind. This was my last time baking for my genius hour project for this class. I had a great time doing it and learned new things. Can't wait to do more baking in the future!

Welcome to my blog! This is my eleventh time baking for my genius hour project. I think it went pretty sweet;) My goal was to bake angel food cake. This process took about 45 minutes. I had to add water to the cake mix and then stir it up for about 4 minutes. After that I poured the cake mix into an angel food cake pan and put it in the oven for 41 minutes. I think it came out perfect the way it did. If I cooked it longer it might have come out burnt. This baking was simple and easy. Then I got it out of the oven and I had to flip it upside down for 1 1/2 hours, then flipped it over and cut into it and had a piece. This was very good, I love angel food cake. Can't wait to do more baking!
Welcome to my blog! This is my tenth time baking for my genius hour project. I think it went pretty sweet;) My goal was to bake brownies. This process took about 45 minutes to do. I had to double the ingredients so I could make enough for the class and a couple of extras. 15 minutes for ingredients and 30 min for baking the brownies. After the 30 minutes of baking I cooled for about an hour before cutting. I think I could've waited till the next morning to cut the brownies but they turned out good. I added chocolate syrup on the top of them and they were chewy. I think I did a good job for my first time baking brownies. My mom tasted one and she said they were good. Can't wait to do more baking!
Welcome to by blog! This is my ninth time baking for my genius hour project. I think it went pretty sweet;) My goal was to bake sugar cookies. This recipe that I used came from my grandma. She said it used to be used in a restaurant and they called the cookies "flying saucers". My grandma helped me bake these cookies. I first started out measuring the sugar, shortening, and eggs. I mixed those together until smooth. In another bowl my grandma started measuring the baking soda, baking powder, flour, vanilla extract, and milk. After, we mixed the ingredients until smooth. Then i poured all the ingredients together in one bowl and mixed together. Finally, I grabbed a spoon and started to scoop up the ingredients to make the cookies. I put 6 on each pan. While the cookies were baking they kept getting bigger and bigger. I cooked them for exactly 10 minutes and they came out perfectly. Then I sprinkled sugar on top of the cookies and then set them to cool. I tasted one and it was great. Can't wait to do more baking!
Welcome to my blog! This is my eighth time baking for my genius hour project. I think it went pretty sweet;) My goal was to make white chocolate fudge. This is similar to the chocolate fudge I made earlier for this project. I didn't have to bake these, just refrigerate over night. I started out by mixing milk, sugar, butter, vanilla extract and a little bit of salt in a saucepan. The butter took more time to melt so I put that in the pot first. After that I stirred those ingredients together until smooth. Then I added 1 1/2 cups of tiny marshmallows and 1 1/2 cups of white chocolate nestles. I added those in after the first batch of ingredients I stirred up together. I stirred up until smooth. After, I poured it in a glass rectangular pan and let it sit on the counter for about 10 min to cool down before putting in the fridge. The next morning I cut the fudge up and served it to my class. Can't wait to do more baking!
Welcome to my blog! This is my seventh time baking for my genius hour project. I think it went pretty sweet;) My goal was to make red velvet cupcakes and vanilla frosting. There were two parts of this baking experience. I started out with mixing the cake mix with eggs, vegetable oil, and water. Mixed those ingredients together with a mixer for 2 min or until it was smooth. Then I poured the cake mix into the cupcake pan and heated the oven to 350 degrees and cooked for 35 min. Then after I made the frosting with cream cheese, butter and powdered sugar. The frosting turned out well! The first batch of the cupcakes kinda came out a little burnt on the bottom because of the type of pan I was using. Still good to eat though. The second batch of cupcakes I baked were a lot better and not burnt. I cooled for about 20 minutes and then I put on the frosting that I made. After that they were complete and ready to eat. I can't wait to do more baking!
Welcome to my blog! This is my sixth time baking for my genius hour project. I think it went pretty sweet;) My goal was to make chocolate and Oreo cupcakes. Their were two parts of making the cupcake. First I made the chocolate mix with eggs, vegetable oil, water and chocolate mix. Then I mixed those up for 2 minutes with a mixer to become smooth. After I made the Oreo mix with Oreos, eggs, cream cheese, and whip cream. Then I mixed those together for about 5 minutes to make smooth. I got out a cupcake pan and layered the icing starting with the chocolate, Oreo, and then the chocolate again. I put them in the oven and bakes for 19 minutes and after they were done the cupcakes came out perfectly! I let them cool for about 30 minutes before putting on the vanilla frosting and then a mini Oreo on top. My sister tired one and she said they tasted good. Can't wait to do more baking!
Welcome to my blog! This is my fifth time baking for my genius hour project. I think it went pretty sweet;) My goal was the make fudge. I didn't have to bake them. I used a recipe from my great great grandma. I'm glad I used hers because they turned out great. I had help from my other grandma that had the recipe kept. She came out to the house to help me. I used sugar, milk, salt and a little butter. I boiled for about 6 minutes and stirred until smooth. Then I added 1 1/2 cups of marshmallows and chocolate chips. After I poured the melted chocolate into a glass pan and cooled overnight in a refrigerator. Cut them up the next morning and ready to eat. Can't wait to do more baking!
Welcome to my blog! This is my fourth time baking for my genius our project. I think it went pretty sweet;) My goal was to bake cupcakes. Turned out great. My sister and grandpa tried one and they both said it tasted amazing. Once I had all of the ingredients in the bowl I had to use a mixer. This was my fist time using a mixer, it wasn't hard at all. Then after I mixed the ingredients I poured it into the muffin pan to shape them like a cupcake. Put them in the oven to bake for 25 min and they came out perfect. Nice and soft at the top and wasn't burnt. This was my first time baking cupcakes. I let the cupcakes cool for 5 min and then I put the icing on them and the sprinkles. Turned out a little messy but that's okay. Can't wait to do more baking!
Welcome to my blog! For this weeks baking I decided just to take a break. I've been busy this week more than usual. I have been thinking of new sweets to bake for the next couple of weeks. I gave my class options on what they wanted me to bake next. Most votes were white chocolate fudge and chocolate fudge. When we come back from spring break I will be bringing in those for my class to try. I've made fudge before in my 8th grade class and they liked it. I will be using a different recipe this time. The cookie balls that I made last week turned out fantastic and yummy for the class. They loved them! Stay tuned for my next sweet I will be doing next. Can't wait to do more baking!
